NO TIME FOR GEORGE ROBINSON - STILL RUNNING OKAY AFTER SS7.

Robin Phillips finished the Big Gullion stage fastest once again and proclaiming himself very happy and no problems his lead now 24 seconds over David Armstrong and Herbie Blackburn in their Escort Cosworth.  Armstrong also reports no problems.

Big news is that third place man James Gillen with Victor Carruthers along side have reportedly removed a wheel from their Escort Cosworth in the Camlough stage, Victor has requested a trailer to assist their extraction from the stage.

George Robinson is still running after stage seven, though we were unable to get a time for that stage though he had a total of 23.21 after stage six putting him 3 seconds behind Denis Biggerstaff.  Biggerstaff's times are improving, he actually set fastest over Camlough SS5, with a time of 2.18, 2 seconds up on Phillips, though Denis admits that he just does not like the long Big Gullion stage.

Camillus Bradley in his Mk2 Escort set an amazing time only two seconds slowler than Phillips over SS7 helping his cause, and extending his lead over Glen Allen to 6 seconds.  Both the Mk2 men are having a brilliant battle, not just for two wheel drive honours but they are also making a serious impression on the overall leaderboard.  Just of our leaderboard in 8th place overall is Micky McArdle in his BMW M3 on a total of 30.00 who leads Norman Armstrong but just one second.

In GpN running down the field at car 40 is John and James Cairns in their Impreza, and they in fact lead the category and held tenth overall after stage four nearly 20 seconds up on Richard Hogg and Billy McCullins, we will try an keep you posted on their progress.  Alan Nesbitt is showing some of the pace he showed so well on last years Circuit of Ireland, his stage times really reflecting a committed drive.  Other two wheel drive men just of the leaderboard include Eugene Ferry and John Gallagher, while Paul Gallagher an Karl Read in their Corolla are up to about 15th overall reinforcing their strong performance in Donegal last weekend.  More News Later ... Michael Patterson and Zoe Todd
