86 cars are still running in the main rally, with 18 Historics at the back, starting this 3rd day of the Shell Donegal International.  Stages 21 and 23 are being missed out today.  The time schedule will remain very much the same. Malin Head may run a few minutes earlier than the original advertised time.
Andrew Nesbitt has a 2min45s lead over James Cullen, who has 1m37s in hand over Ian Greer.  Behind these 2 there is a massive battle for 3rd place between Ian Greer, Frank Meagher and Daniel Doherty, so we can expect all sorts of fireworks over today's remaining 4 stages.  As Andrew Nesbitt commented last night "The rally is far from over, anything can still happen".  Cross Refrigeration director Andrew, renowed worldwide for his expertise in banana ripening plants, had a superb "bash" last night in the Shandon, in conjunction with Pirelli. Co-driver James O'Brien won a box of bananas in the raffle!!

Class winners overnight included:  Alan Henry from Billy Gamble both in Suzuki Swifts in class 1. Chris Rogers leads class 2 from the similar Civic of Killarney man Jimmy White. Seamus Heron suffered a smashed wheel yesterday to allow Brendan Kelly to draw level in the gpN race, with Natalie Barratte an impressive 3rd from Eamonn Harvey. Kieran Gallagher got ahead of Noreen McDaid in cl.5 after Noreen parked her Micra in a Knockalla ditch for 4 minutes. Seamus Gallagher has had a brillient run to lead cl.6 from the similar Civic of Dermot McAuley. Max McKillen slipped to a distant 3rd after going off the road for several minutes in Glen. The brilliant Sammy Fisher leads cl.9 in his Mini from Paul Blackburn. Robbie Peoples has survived prop shaft dramas to lead cl.10 from Kieran McFadden with Paul Gallagher 3rd. Terence McHugh leads cl.11 from Tom Halliday. Eugene Donnelly leads cl.5 from Alan Nesbitt. Connie Smith leads cl.13. Alistair Glenn cl.14. Martin Marchbank cl.15. Glen Allen leads cl.11A. Martin Freestone leads the Post Historics. Dessie Nutt the Historics. John Keatley & John Farrell both crashed out yesterday. Marcus Dodd won yesterday's Kerridge from David Mann. BRIAN AND LIZ PATTERSON
