Frank Meagher and Austin McHale were joint fastest through stage 12, Andrew Nesbitt re-exerted his authority by setting fastest time in stage 13, Dromree, 4s up on Meagher. Andrew told us here at Millstreet service "We're hitting our own pace now, it was a great race earlier".  The Cross Refrigeration man went on to say that his big rush at the end of Musheramore was to change the Pirellis before the start of stage 12, and he laughed when he said it wasn't worth the trouble, because the tyres he had on worked better than the tyres he changed to.

It was interesting to see Austin McHale setting joint fastest through stage 12 - the 5 times Tarmac Champion was in a lot better frame of mind when he told us "The front differential wasn't working at all, we changed the setting in the brains and it's like a new car".  It has been noticeable that Ian Greer's times went off the boil after setting some fastest times yesterday. Co driver Dean Beckett explaining "We've been messing about with the suspension, a click up a click down, it really is a new car to us and the medium and fast corners are more or less flat out.  We got off on the wrong foot this morning and we had a bit of an overshoot but otherwise everything is OK".  Frank Meagher has recovered well from his stage 11 puncture and reports no problems now.  Kenny McKinstry had an overshoot in stage 12  and tells us he had a good clean run through stage 13, but for some reason the time was not great.  Niall McShea said "We're having good old fun, the brakes are on the limit but OK".

Despite a slightly slow time through stage 13, Roy White continues to lead gpN comfortably. Nigel Hickland is 2nd in the category, he also had a slow time but it was through a puncture. Padraig Price went off the road in stage 12 and blocked the stage - this played into Kieran O'Neill's hands as his Kadett was in a field just up the road, and it gave him the breathing space to get back on the road with no time loss.  Johnny O'Sullivan has got his clutch problems sorted and he has speeded up again. Despite a puncture John O'Dowd still leads FORD KA championship contenders from Oliver Stanley, John Carroll 3rd.. More later..BRIAN AND LIZ PATTERSON (many thanks to Subaru Irl. for tea and sandwiches - grand job!)
