The above times are from the first few cars only - there could be some of the later cars come into the list.
A few spots of rain caused anxious moments for the early drivers, but they got through the stage on bone dry roads, the later numbers slightly affected by dampish conditions. As can be seen above, Frank Meagher was fastest, the former Tarmac Champion telling us at stage finish "I was getting a bit of understeer, maybe picked too soft a tyre".  Eamonn Boland in his fabulous new Impreza WRC said "Not a worry, although I'm over driving the car, but it's good".  Pete Doughty, third on the road, said "Rusty".  While Paul Harris joked "I fell asleep a bit towards the finish of the stage!!"

Donal O'Donovan set a scintillating time, which cheered the West Cork man up somewhat, and he remarked "The car feels way better today".  Denis Cronin reckoned he picked too soft a tyre, Joe McHugh was the first gpN through, his time 8.29, the Donegal man telling us "I'm just bedding in the new codriver". Some other times - Denis Cronin 7.46: Cahal Arthurs 7.54 with an overshoot: Tommy Graham 7.47: Maurice Gass 7.56: Tim O'Riordan did not make the start line, some problem with a turbo charger valve.
