Through stage 4, The Goats Path, Denis Cronin was again fastest by just under 3s from Roy White with Daragh O1Riordan 3rd fastest a couple of seconds in arrears of the flying MG of Roy White. Times just coming in from stage 5 show Daragh O`Riordan fastest by 7s from Denis Cronin with Roy White a bit further back this time. We have unofficial news that Denis Cronin has had some intercom problems and is running slightly late on the road. Daragh O`Riordan changed the suspension set up of his Fiesta WRC at service and would seem to have improved his times somewhat.

In the battle for best two wheel drive honours Jonathan Pringle has turned the tables significantly on Declan Gallagher as Cavan man Pringle was a handful of seconds quicker than Gallagher through stages 4 and 5. We have no times in yet for Wesley Patterson for SS 5.

Jer O`Donovan in his Subaru continues to lead Group N while Stephen Carey in his Civic is first in class 3 and 2nd group N. Adrian Levis/Dan O`Donovan are going well in their Civic and they lead class 2.

Early overall leader Hugh Hunter reportedly retired his Impreza when the gearbox broke after a big jump in stage 3. This has to be confirmed.

Further afield Sebastian Vettel has won the Indian GP. This means the German has now won 4 F1 world titles. On Rally Spain with one stage to go Ogier leads by just over a second from Neuville with Latvala 3rd over a minute back.
