Main points from stage 6 Rockchapel
– Eugene Donnelly was fastest by just over half a second
from Tim McNulty – neither drivers reported any problems.
Eugene said he played it safe
but it was very fast. Tim said he kept it nice and clean. Donie
O’Sullivan’s Impreza retired from 2nd place when the
engine cried enough at junction 2.
Derek McGarrity lost 10s,..his
Impreza water injection not functioning. Every time he presses
the switch it jumps out again.
Nigel Hicklin is smiling at
last – the car seems to be going well.
Seamus Leonard knocked the
rear bumper off the car, but seemed to lose not time and still
leads gpN.
Early news from stage 7 is
that Gareth Jones has had a slight off road excursion and dropped
from 2nd to 4th.
News from Argentina –
Nasser Al-Attiyah and Chris Patterson moved into the lead of the
Production WRC in their Subaru. Gareth MacHale and Paul Nagle
still 10th o/a. Conditions very hot and humid and difficult. Bad
fog also.
