Trevor Moore arrived at the end of stage five Glenshane, a bit mystified as to why he was slightly slower than his first run through this morning "it felt quicker but it was a lot rougher" said the former winner. Eugene Donnelly tried hard over the stage but spun his Bio-Clear Celica, dropping 5 secs to the rally leader.

Denis Biggerstaff set a stunning time of 2.03, 5 seconds faster than his nearest challenger, the Dromara man admitting to pushing hard and saying "it is time we did something". Whether Biggerstaff can pull something out of the bag to catch third placed man Whitford remains to be seen, though Denis has a reputation for such mighty feats.

Stephen Whitford now leads the GpN category after Richard Hogg retired in service with a broken bottom arm, a result of his earlier accident. Whitford has the category well in hand over Raymond Mason who lies just outside the top ten, Stephen pushing hard in third overall chasing valuable championship points.

Gary White was much happier over the second Glenshane stage, he changed some rear suspension settings on his Escort to set joint second fastest time along with James Cullen, their time 2.08.

Greg McCormack continues to lead the 2wd brigade, seriously spectacular in his Mk2, reports no problems in sixth overall. Frank Kelly broke the manifold on his Escort in Glenshane 2 but with no time loss, just a lot a noise. James Cassidy continues to lead the 1600 class and lies an impressive 9th overall with Rodney McKnight second almost 30 secs behind.

Class leaders after stage four included John McGlaughlin (cls 1), Dermot O'Hagan (cls 3), Geoff Heggan (cls 4), Johnny McKenna just outside the top ten and leading cls 6.
