SUPER 1600 - Justin Dale now has an almost 2 minute lead over his Peugeot team mate Rory Galligan, with Guy Wilks (Ford) hanging on to 3rd despite a puncture in Sweet Lamb which cost over 2 minutes. David Henderson is over a minute behind his Puma team mate Wilks, while Kris Meeke's miserable day continues, his Puma suffering another drive shaft failure. Gwyndaf Evans told us that his retirement was down to an overheating engine in Myherin - Gwyndaf switched the car off to prevent any damage. Rory Galligan now requires a gearbox change.

Out at the front of the rally Jonny Milner has been scorching through the forest to set fastest times with his Corolla. Jonny was 13s up on Tapio Laukkanen through Sweet Lamb, and 16s faster through Hafren. Jonny commented at stage finish "There's a nice dry line appearing and we're really hooking up". Tapio Laukkanen said "We're going as hard as we can". Marcus Dodd in 3rd still has some intermittent rear brake troubles. While David Higgins in 4th commented "I'm absolutely on the limit, nothing left in the engine".

Dramas include….Robert Woodside retiring his Subaru when he knocked a wheel off. Natalie Barratt has just driven into service so we presume she has retired her Hyundai. She was suffering from brake problems. Peter Stephenson has retired his Subaru with turbo troubles.

Peugeot 206 Super Cup - Garry Jenning was fastest through stage 5 but little chance of regaining the lead which is held by Chris Moore on a total of 1.11.50.3. Paul Alexander is on 1.12.10.6, as is Marko Ramanen. Jennings is on 1.12.16.7. Daniel Dunbabin was in the top 6 but has retired his 206.

Volkswagen Polo Challenge - Ian Chadwick led after stage 5 by 5s from Roger Andersson but the Swedish driver has since retired because of a leaking sump.

Mark Wheeler leads the 1400 Ford Puma Championship from Darren Snape with Shaun Woffinden holding a very slender lead over Barry Clark in the Ford Kas. More news later. BRIAN AND LIZ PATTERSON (with thanks to Davy Patterson)
