RALLY NEWS NO.1 Ballybofey/Donegal Town road/Service/Fri. 1.30 Happily all the top drivers as listed in the programme appeared in Letterkenny this morning for the Shell Donegal International Rally. All seemed in good form, although Andrew Nesbitt’s co-driver James O’Brien was suffering from ‘flu. The most important change to the entry list is that Mark Higgins, co driven by Mike Gibson, slots in a 6th on the road but with number 175 on the David Greer Toyota, David relinquishing his entry to give the world class Manxman his first crack at the Donegal International. There were a few non-starters from outside the top 10 – Tim McNulty, David Armstrong and Adrian McElvaney not appearing. Weather conditions are pretty wet, but that has not dampened the enthusiasm for this first Shell Donegal for 2 years…..
