Please note - no times as yet for Denis Biggerstaff who was repairing his Metro's differential and hoping to get a run at the end of the field. Also no time for Michael Barrable who was changing his Celica's clutch and also hoping to get a run at the end of the field, behind the rallycross cars. Interestingly, the fastest rallycross car on the first stage was Pat Doran with 2.47, John McCluskey 2.55. Slower than the fastest world rally cars despite their massive horse power.

Fastest car through stage 2 was Andrew Nesbitt with 2.41, Austin McHale 2.42, Derek McGarrity improved somewhat with 2.43, Daniel Doherty came up to 2.45 and James Cullen also improved well to 2.48. The clutch trouble that James experienced earlier he admits was down to himself when he missed a gear, Kenny McKinstry pinpointed what the problem would be right away and his team changed the clutch in 19 minutes.

Once again neither Richard Burns, Freddy Loix or Mike Biasion took their stage times, but unofficially, they are certainly on the pace, although Burns performed doughnuts on the second stage.

LATE NEWS...Denis Biggerstaff did get doing the stage - his time 2.50 which puts him on a total of 5.41 and brings him into the above leaderboard in 9th place.

Peadar Hurson rolled his Celica on stage 2 and his out of the rally. In the process he held up Johnny O'Sullivan who was equal 10th after the first stage. Whether Johnny gets another run remains to be seen.

Andrew Nesbitt commented after the 2nd stage.."Still very slippy and the clutch is definitely not right". Austin McHale seemed happy enough apart from losing 1s to Andrew. Patrick Snijers said "The stage is cutting up a little, the handbrake works for most of the stage but fades away towards the end". Patrick continues to lead gpN. Roy White had a big overshoot on the 2nd stage and could only equal his first run, 10s slower than Belgian driver Snijers. Frank Meagher is adjusting the setup of his car as is Derek McGarrity, who also tried a different rear type of tyre. Daniel Doherty felt his Impreza did not seem to have the ooomph on the 2nd stage, but still set a good time. Max McKillen in the Saxo had a very heavy landing after the big jump. James Cullen reckons his Subaru is set just a little too high in the suspension. Hugh Dunne had a steadier run that time after smacking the rear door on the first stage.
